“Le Relais de la Mine” Overnight Lodging

In the heart of Champagnac, in northern Cantal, we welcome you to the Relais de la Mine, a cozy bed-and-breakfast that has been completely renovated with passion.

Located near Mauriac (25 km), Bort-les-Orgues (10 km), Riom-ès-Montagnes (25 km), and Ussel (35 km), our lodging is an ideal starting point for exploring the volcanic landscapes of the Cantal, the Dordogne valleys, the lakes, the hiking trails, and the rich heritage of our region.

Formerly an outbuilding on the property, the cottage has been completely restored by us to give it a new lease on life while preserving its authentic character. The main house, located nearby, is the village’s former butcher shop. Its name, Le Relais de la Mine, pays homage to the history of Champagnac, long shaped by mining, which has defined the life of the town and its residents.

The cottage features two bedrooms with double beds, a loft with two double beds and a sofa bed, as well as a cozy and functional open-concept living and kitchen area.

You’ll also have access to a terrace, a parking space in front of the property, a locked garage for motorcycles and bicycles, and a separate entrance. Access to the family pool may also be available depending on the season and availability.

We wanted to create a simple, comfortable, and welcoming place where guests can take the time to relax and fully enjoy the charm of our region.
