“Hutte de Sabotier” Cottages

Champs-sur-Tarentaine-Marchal

Opening period

Year 2026 : April 1 through October 31

Description

Two 18-square-meter all-wood cabins, each accommodating four people (2 adults and 2 children), modeled after clog-makers' huts.
In the 19th century, farmers from the Bourbonnais region would come to spend the winter in Artense, in the Algères Forest, a little further upstream from L’Écureuil in the Rhue Valley.
They would build huts out of branches and make clogs.
On the ground floor: Living area with kitchenette, a bedroom with a double bed in an alcove within the main room, and a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet.
On the mezzanine, accessible by a ladder, there is an attic bedroom with two single beds.
