All accommodation providers are obliged to collect and pay the taxe de séjour for all visitors. When we receive your declaration from the town hall for the opening of your accommodation, we automatically create an account for you on the “Taxe de séjour” website, so that you can make your declaration each month.

Tourist tax must be paid by tenants of legal age and declared by the accommodation provider via the website or on paper. The following are exempt from the tax: minors, holders of seasonal employment contracts employed in the area, people benefiting from emergency accommodation or temporary rehousing. The deadline for declarations is the 15th of each month. Exempt persons must also be registered for attendance statistics.

There are two possible scenarios:

If you rent directly, the tenant must pay you the corresponding tourist tax, which you must then transfer to Sumène Artense communauté.
or your rental is booked via a digital platform (Booking, Airbnb, Abritel, Gîtes de France, Clévacances…), the tenant pays the tourist tax directly to the digital platform, which then automatically transfers it to Sumène Artense communauté.

The tourist tax collected by Sumène Artense communauté is then paid in full to the Sumène Artense Tourist Office to promote our destination.
