PR 14 : Au coin de la Rhue

Antignac

Opening period

All year round.

Description

This route takes you along the steep banks of the Rhue Gorge, to the pastures where shepherds once tended their flocks of sheep.
Near Tampagniergues, you'll notice an old shepherd's hut.
Shepherds were once employed by local villagers to tend their flocks of sheep. They built themselves a rounded dry-stone hut, covered with a large flat stone, branches or broom. During the long hours spent waiting and watching over the flock, the shepherd would gather the berries. He picked berries, but also plants whose virtues he knew.
Departure point: Bridge over the Soulou at Couzans. From Antignac, follow the signs for Couzans for about 1.5 km to reach the starting point at the small bridge over the Soulou. From here, take the road along the stream.
